  • The Lord's Declaration

"I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, and there was no foreign god among you; therefore you are My witnesses," says the Lord, "that I am God. Indeed before the day was, I am He; and there is no one who can deliver out of my hand; I work, and who will reverse it?" Isaiah 43:12-13

While God is specifically talking to the Israelites here, I believe there is practical application here for today's believer in that we are to be the Lord's declaration. Let me explain. Our lives are to proclaim the Lord in every way possible, every moment of every day. As believers we are to live above reproach as an example to non-believers.

This passage also brings up another point that we would do well to heed in that once we are delivered into the hands of the Lord, nothing and nobody can take us away from Him. This goes for everything from the smallest detail in our lives to the largest, from the day to day decisions we make to the life-changing ones. What comfort this brings! Even when we make the wrong decisions God is in control of the situation. He knew what decision we would make and worked to make sure it would be used for good and not for the evil the devil intended it to be. Take comfort in this the next time you are going through trials.
